Stephen Colbert of TV's The Colbert Report taped segments for his show to air during the last week of the Olympics. Over 4,000 people RSVP'ed on the Facebook page promoting the appearance. As you can see in the pics, things got stereotypically Canadian, but it seemed like Canucks took the jokes in stride.

In a series of tapings on Feb. 17 and 18, Colbert and his crew were set up at Creekside Park with an impressive entourage of wildlife. From moose to a beaver, the prop department must have worked overtime to get the jokes just right.

Colbert issued a public plea to his followers to support the U.S. speedskating team and make donations to ease its organization's debt. The followers answered with generous donations, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the cause.
